THEY REMIND US TO BE PRESENT

With three standard poodles in our lives, there is never a dull moment. Lucy, our shy girl, is steadfast in her affection; happy to just sit and place her head in Sandy’s lap. Taffy is our wild girl, full of energy and love. When she’s not running around the house in a fit of energy, Taffy’s favorite place is right in the middle of my Sandy and me. She always snuggles in between us, and plants a kiss or two on our faces in a show of affection.

Queen of the house is no doubt Hazel, and even though she is dominant of the dogs, she always looks at Sandy with so much love and devotion. They will just sit in peace together, communicating in their own special way. She is an old soul, with eyes that seem to look deep into you and just understand.

What these dogs represent is total unconditional love. They remind us to be present, remind us to love, and remind us what is most important in life.
