THEY BRIGHTEN MY SMILE

My fur babies mean the absolute world to me. With my rescue dogs and cats, life at my household never has a dull moment.

Yiggy, our little one-eyed boy, is the most loving dog. He loves to play fetch, go on walks, and then comes home to burrow into blankets and sleep for hours. He is just perfect. Eazy, or as we like to call him “Eazy Cheese,” is our biggest and oldest. At 10 years old, he still hasn’t slowed down. You can see his excitement grow every time someone picks up a ball or leash. He is our crazy boy, sometimes barking for no reason, but that doesn’t stop him from loving everyone else in the family. And that includes Burton Guster, the most laid-back cat we have ever had, who can sleep through literally anything. Having picked my son from a PetSmart when he was a kitten, Burton’s only weakness is plastic bags. He must destroy them.

And then we have Mama, my heart dog. We have learned so much from Mama and the affection she shows everyone around her. We fostered her and her six babies after she was found as a pregnant stray. After the babies went to their forever homes, I decided I couldn’t give her up. We have watched Mama learn to love walks, snuggles, and especially her food.

I couldn’t possibly imagine my life without a cat or dog. All of our fur babies have brought so much life, craziness, and happiness into our home. They brighten my smile every day with their love.
