SHE IS RESILIENT

I adopted Winnie three years ago. Before she came to me, she was a stray from birth on the Navajo reservation in the Four Corners area. The story of how she was initially rescued is long and juicy, but let's just say she was meant for Reno, and for me.

With the feistiest personality, Winnie approaches everything she does at 100%. She knows that whenever I touch a key, hat, or leash, that it’s time to go on a hike. She turns into a bucking bronco with her excitement. She loves to chase bunnies, even if she isn't good at it, and gives a little 'war cry' as she takes off. Then after the long day, we return home and she gives me this look that makes me feel so appreciated by this loving little ball of fur.

It’s so amazing to have adopted this remarkable dog, who had no human interaction for years, but adapted so easily and gives so much emotion. She is resilient, ready to love and be loved every day.
