HE LET HIMSELF BE VULNERABLE

When Charlie became part of our family, we had no idea how much things were about to change. My wife and I have rescued multiple old dogs through the years and found Charlie as a working cow dog border collie who went A.W.O.L from his 'job'. He was wandering around in Plumas National Forest with no teeth, no hair and in need of veterinary attention.

It was slow steps with Charlie at first, as he was afraid of people. Then suddenly, he let himself be vulnerable and surrendered to our help. Since then, he has blossomed into the sweetest old man dog you've ever met. He is the greeter and protector of our household, and we cannot imagine our lives had we not met Charlie.

He has been one of the biggest blessings in our lives as he teaches us daily how love and kindness can transform. With Charlie we were able to learn how the power of love can change an animal from broken to happy.
