Soft Rock Dog Music : The Science To Make Them Happy
Dog Music For When They Are Alone
Do you want music to make your dogs happy while you're away? We figured you had the Dogish Podcast to listen to while you were at work, so shouldn't those furkids have something to listen to and watch while you're away?
Based on our research, the most suitable music for dogs is reggae and soft rock, followed by pop, light jazz and classical in the preference order, while the least-preferred music is classic rock, hard rock and heavy metal.
When researching for this, we took into consideration not only the acoustic features of sound such as tempo and pitch, but also examined how dogs responded emotionally to different pieces of music with human vocals vs. instrumental sounds.
But apparently, it's not just any music…according to a study published in the journal of Physiology and Behavior, dogs preferred the sounds of reggae or soft rock more than any other genre. “Overall, the response to different genres was mixed highlighting the possibility that like humans, our canine friends have their own individual music preferences,” Evans said. “That being said, reggae music and soft rock showed the highest positive changes in behavior.”
This is our first music track for dogs and we will be releasing more soon! So make sure you subscribe for dog music that makes them happy! And don't forget to tune into the DOGISH Podcast, every Tuesday at 1pm Pac Coast! Available on all major podcast streaming networks!
